A song mosaic is a song that is arranged and composed by taking contributions from a number of performers to create one song project on a specific topic. At Brooklands School, we have developed authentic learning experiences for students on topics ranging from Social Justice, Remembrance Day, Media Literacy and Community. These projects have been developed to showcase the infusion of music and ICT with educational content for students. For each of the song projects, students have been empowered to display their learning through the entire process of song-writing and sound recording including composition, engineering and production. These projects are a true representation of student engagement and participation in their own learning.
